Dave earned his BA in accounting from Marquette University and is a current member of the Illinois CPA Society, where he has served as a member of the Society's Employee Benefits Committee. Dave holds the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

Dave resides in Vernon Hills, Illinois, with his wife, Mary Ellen, and their 2 children, who attend the University of Notre Dame. They enjoy spending time together playing golf and traveling.
